Room 16 Jasper's weaving, close to 100 and baking with division of scones.


 Jasper loves to bake and yesterday we made meringues from some left over egg whites In the fridge. The mixture would not stiffen so the meringues were decidedly flat! They were still yummy though. We looked up why the mixture did not stiffen properly and found out that it was probably because the egg whites were too cold.

Today we made scones and Jasper had to think about how many we should make (15 would be ideal for our family of 5 but a little difficult to divide!) so we made 16 and thinking about the ‘how close to 100’ exercise we learned that by making 4 rows of 4 pieces we would get to 16. The scones were yummy too!
