Room 11 Term 2 Day 3

Leo has been up to a lot these few days:

He read a book on carrots and was interested in how they grow. He did some research with his whanau and is trying to cultivate his own carrots. Amazing work!

He has also written a book review after watching The Curse of the Lost Temple from the Whetu story box.

Here is his symmetrical art work. He has incorporated different household items as well as natural materials from the garden. Very creative! It looks kind of like a face to me. What do you think?

Sheldon has also been doing some great writing:

He has put in some good effort to practice his English and write good sentences. I like how he's put a capital letter and full stop in most of his sentences!

George has been doing number of the day! Good on you George!

Sami has been doing a lot of baking and cooking as well spending a lot of time out doors biking and going on lovely walks.
Cake? Brownie? Looks good either way.

Striking a pose. Very artistic.

  1. Cool carrots, Leo! I tried that before and had a really hard time with it. Maybe they were too old. You've inspired me to give it another go!

  2. Sheldon, what careful writing!, and George, what careful calculating! Thanks for sharing your hard work.

Sami, those chocolate treats look divine. I made brownies last night but they collapsed in the middle in the morning, hmm. I'd like to learn how you made yours so fluffy! How peaceful you look there in Dancer pose by the water. That's one of my favourite yoga poses!
