Room 14 Rātapu / Thursday 30th April

Keanu has done so much writing. He finished his story that we talked about as a class on Zoom.

Wow, Keanu, you really used your strong imagination here! I’m so proud of how hard you worked. It sounds really peaceful and exciting to find a sparkly magic tree on our swimming trip!

Keanu also wrote a Josephine poem inspired by our philosophy prompt. You worked hard at showing some really strong imagery to help the reader feel the emotions in your poem. Thanks for sharing!

Yesterday, Abigail watched ‘What is ANZAC Day?’and wrote about it.

Abbey read the poem about "The King Fisher."

Abbey wrote about her teacher and even included a simile!

All true, Abbey, and thanks for the simile and the smile! :-)

Finally, Abbey wrote two ideas for how she could help at home. Hurray!

P.S. Here is some work from Abbey from Rāmere as well!

The saga of lockdown time... with lyrics attached!

Abbey's very own tongue twister - give it a try!

Here is Abbey's work from today.

Abbey read two books on Epic, Berenstain Bears Back to School and Niko Draws a Feeling. She spend 32 minutes reading to her Dad.

She wrote in response to Jill's poetry lesson and wrote a rap about her favourite things to do during lockdown.

Besides all that, she had time for the number of the day, too! Wowza.

Leo has been writing up a storm with a hilarious story about his teacher and some friends, a feelings poem, and his own dictionary!

Leo also developed a system for figuring out all the ways to make 15 in this maths investigation!
