Room 11 Term 2 Day 2

Willa has been getting into some symmetry art today. She's used leaves, twigs and spiky seeds from her garden to create symmetrical art. Half of the page looks exactly like the other half. Willa has used the same materials to create two unique artworks!

Cynthia was interested in what tree the spiky balls came from. They are quite common in New Zealand and they certainly look interesting. After doing a quick Google search, she's found out that they are seeds from the Sweet Gum tree which is native to North America.

Willa has also been doing some writing about looking after her caterpillars!

  1. Thanks for sharing, Willa and Cynthia! Those Sweet Gum Tree spiky seed balls are so interesting and fun to manipulate. It's great to hear that you took such good care of your caterpillar friends! Did they turn into butterflies or moths, I wonder?
