Room 12 Thursday 23 April

Here's a few photos of what Charlie has been up to.

- he watched the video about Fjordland on the link you sent which started off a big discussion about glaciers. He decided to get leaves, flowers, and other things we found in the garden and make an ice bowl. Lots of fun melting the ice and making waterfalls and ice caves! He talked with his family a lot about how you could get to a glacier and how you would climb up one. Charlie then decided he wanted to make an ice sculpture and experimented with shaping the ice - his art then went back in the freezer for next time!

- he's also been counting cars and created a graph capturing the colour and also the make. And he is into watching a TV show called the Investigators so wrote a character description of Esra - he seems to draw things before writing things at the moment.

- the other day he said to his mum 'there are some good things about Covid 19' and how he's realised there are heaps of fun things to do at home. He also talked about how he's loved going on lots of bike rides. So great to hear!

Yesterday Elijah made some banana bread from a easy recipe.
He read and measured all the ingredients mixed and made whole thing all by himself.
He did more maths, built a box fort in his dad's workshop and read two books.

Nam has been busy reading, writing about the weather and completing number of the day...
