This is Amara's character profile (not based on a book – she based on the traveller picture from the day before) and the story she started writing today. She has also been loving drawing with chalk and home made paint on the footpath with her sisters.

This morning Esme did some pointillism art with her big sister.
She has also done a lot of hut building with her sister. Their huts are getting more and more complex and now have multiple rooms.
Her mum has been working with her on time and we have hung a calendar by her desk (school in white dots, regular activities in yellow dots, special things in orange dots). She was very focused on Jacinda's announcement yesterday and about when she can go back to school, so she has been counting down the days. She has loved this calendar and it is really helping Esme see what a day, week, month look like and what happens each day.
Lucy has been hard at work again...I am super impressed with your maths!!!
